The Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama this afternoon paid a visit to more than 70 students at the Hilton Special School.
Commending the visit by the head of government, Hilton Special School head teacher, Nanise Ravisa said that it was an honour to have PM Bainimarama visit the special children.
“The visit has come at an opportune time for us as we have been able to discuss with him issues concerning our school,” Mrs Ravisa said.
“The Prime Minister’s visit indicates government’s commitment to addressing the needs of special children.”
Mrs Ravisa added that the Prime Minister also reassured the school of providing assistance to projects such as fencing and constructing a classroom extension block for the students.
“We have been assured by the Prime Minister that government will assist us in topping up the funds that have been set aside for these projects.”
The Hilton Special School celebrates its 50th anniversary tomorrow.
