Red Cross volunteers in Nadi will be moving door-to-door this Saturday.
According to Nadi branch secretary Saiyad Shah, volunteers will be calling into business houses with their cans to seek donations which will help the branch prepare for the upcoming cyclone season.
“We are appealing to the public to donate generously so that the money raised will be put to good use during natural disasters,” Mr Shah said.
He said Red Cross plays a pivotal role in relief efforts during natural disaster s which Nadi is prone to.
“Our first appeal will be in Nadi town this Saturday (October, 26) and we will be moving to Namaka and Martintar areas at a later date.”
