A 14-year old student of Lautoka is currently in police custody for allegedly raping a Class 2 student on Monday afternoon.
The incident is alleged to have occurred on Monday, October 2 at around 6pm while the victim was watching a game of soccer. The suspect allegedly forcefully dragged the victim to a nearby bush and committed the offence.
Another class one student who came to the area to retrieve a soccer ball saw the alleged incident taking place and raised the alarm. The rest of the boys then took both the suspect and victim to the Tavakubu community post where a report was lodged.
Meanwhile, police investigations continue on the case.
