Twenty seven year old Ravinesh Ronesh Lal wanted for a case of identity theft will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Lal was wanted for allegedly creating a fake Facebook account by using the profile information and picture of a well-known radio announcer.
He has been charged with three counts of obtaining financial by deception for a case.
It is alleged he displayed electronic items for sale, exchanging information such as contacts from the group whereby sale proposals took place. It is also alleged that victims of this case deposited money into the suspect’s bank account but never received anything.
He then allegedly deactivates the account after the sale has taken place and reactivates at a later time.
