Nadi has kicked Lautoka out of the Vodafone Fiji Fact after beating the baby blues 2-1 at Prince Charles Park this evening.
The jetsetters opened the account in the second minute of play with a powerful header by striker Rusiate Matarerega much to the delight of a jammed packed home crowd.
The well oiled green machine maintained the lead at breather and further dominated the play with Uraia Loki ramming in the second goal just 49 seconds into the second half.
Lautoka’s Jone Vonu Junior narrowed the gap with a goal in the 23rd minute of the second spell.
The blues only needed a draw to secure a berth into the semi-final while Nadi needed a win to carry on in the tournament.
Nadi now meets Suva in the second semi-final of the day at 7pm tomorrow while Ba takes on Rewa in the first semi-final at 5pm.
