Rewa has secured its place in the semi-finals of the 2013 Vodafone Fiji Fact after beating neighbours Navua 2-0 at Prince Charles Park this afternoon.
The Delta Tigers displayed an outstanding performance against Navua which is now officially out of the tournament.
After being locked nil all at breather Valerio Nawatu scored Rewa’s first goal via a penalty kick in the 29th minute of play while Nadi import Ratu Veresa Toma further secured Rewa’s lead with the second goal in the 38th minute.
With Rewa now securing a semi-final spot, Nadi has to win the last match of the day against neighbours Lautoka in order to secure a semi-final spot if the tournament is to secure home crowd support.
The match between Ba and Suva which are both into the semi-finals from Group A has now started and the winning team will top the pool.
