A special taskforce committee which will include important stakeholders will be formed soon to look at pressing issues in Sigatoka.
While meeting ratepayers, and resident of the township, newly appointed special administrator Jay Whyte said a lot has to be achieved and this can be only possible through the participation of people.
Following his appointment to the top post, Mr Whyte invited ratepayers and business houses to the first consultative meeting which was held on Tuesday at the Sai Hall.
Many ideas were shared during the open forum and the Sigatoka Town Council will be working closely with all stakeholders to see things are moving in the right direction.
Mr Whyte also informed participants about plans to establish the towns own monthly community newspaper which will be released soon.
