Cricket Fiji is delighted to announce that Sekove Ravoka and Tukana Tava have been named in the final 14-man East-Asia Pacific (EAP) Squad to contest the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) EAP Quad Series later this year.
Sekove, one of Fiji’s opening batsman, and Tukana, an opening bowler, were selected from the provisional 18-man squad announced last week, in which four Fijians were originally named.
The final squad, which will compete against Papua New Guinea’s (PNG) national side, the Australian Indigenous Development Team and the Australian Armed Services Combined Cricket Team, will consist of seven players from Vanuatu, three from PNG, two from Fiji, one from Samoa and one from Japan. Peter Wooden from Vanuatu has been named as the EAP side’s team coach.
The ICC EAP Quad Series will be held in Brisbane, Australia, from August 12 to 17 between the EAP side, Papua New Guinea, the Australian Indigenous Team and the Australian Armed Services team.
