Tourism will continue to be the lead foreign exchange earner for Fiji says re-elected Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association president Dixon Seeto.
Mr Seeto who was unanimously re-elected to the top post during FHTA’s annual general meeting at the Radisson Blu Resort in Denarau Island on Friday, June 6 said he is once again ready to work with various stakeholders to further improve the tourism industry.
Welcoming the arrival of Fiji Link’s brand new ATR72-600 aircraft last week, Mr Seeto said any expansion to the transport sectors which compliments the tourism industry is most welcome.
“A lot of the discussions were centred on the continued growth of the tourism industry for all operators from all sectors,” Mr Seeto said.
He said members also raised issues about air services to the northern division and FHTA will be conducting meetings with Fiji Airways and its subsidiary Fiji Link to see how best things could be worked out for the benefit of all concerned.
