Rosy Hearts Investments Ltd has joined hands with the Fiji National Blood Service to raise awareness on the importance of donating blood.
The leading Cakes Shop in Fiji has organized a blood drive that will be held this Saturday, 3 May, at the Vinod Patel Plaza at Centrepoint.
According to the Fiji National Blood Service, 50 blood donors are needed to keep up the demand for blood by the hospitals in Fiji.
“We’re organizing the blood drive because we want to want to make a difference and to help the Fiji Blood Bank in its efforts to save lives,” says the Managing Director of Rosy Hearts, Mrs Roshni Nair.
There is always a shortage of blood and the drive would serve as a perfect opportunity for those living around the Nasinu area to donate and support the hospitals.
“We are requesting the public to come and make a difference. All you need is to give five minutes of your time to donate a pint of your blood and you could save someone’s life,” Mrs Nair adds.
Rosy Hearts will also provide its delectable cakes and drinks to all the donors throughout the day.
The blood drive will be held from 9am to 3pm.
