The Governor of the Reserve Bank confirmed that the extension of the amnesty on declaration of
offshore assets as announced by the Attorney General and Minister for Finance extends to the
Reserve Bank Fiji and the Exchange Control Act and regulations it administers.
Governor Whiteside stated that the Reserve Bank had earlier announced its support of the Amnesty
on the Declaration of Offshore Assets offered by the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority (FRCA).
Fiji residents are therefore encouraged to submit full disclosures to the Reserve Bank of Fiji in
addition to the declaration to FRCA by 15 October, 2015.
