The President, His Excellency Ratu Epeli Nailatikau this morning received Guangdong Provincial Party Secretary, Mr Hu Chunhua at Government house.
Mr Hu, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, arrived into the country on Saturday with an 18-member delegation on a goodwill visit.
Following the courtesy call to the Head of State, the delegation paid a visit to Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama at the Office of the Prime Minister.
The delegation also attended the China (Guangdong) – Fiji Economy and Trade Cooperation Conference and signed more than 20 cooperative agreements on health, tourism, timber industry, real estate, agriculture and mining amongst others.
The visit follows Chinese President Xi Jinping’s successful historic State visit to Fiji in November last year.
