Friday, 12 September 2014::Fiji Airways, Fiji’s National Airline, and Fiji Link, its regional and domestic subsidiary, today reported their August 2014 on-time performance (OTP) results.
Fiji Airways reported an on-time performance of 84.7% in August, compared to 77.3% in July and 79.0% in June. Managing Director and CEO Stefan Pichler says the airline team did well to improve on-time performance back to above-industry standards.
“After two months with an OTP below our target, I’m happy Fiji Airways turned it in around in August. Keeping OTP continuously above 80% is a key objective for our teams and I’m hopeful that we will improve it even further in the months ahead.
Fiji Link continued to its fine on-time performance, recording 96.1% in August, compared to 95.0% in July and 92.98% for June. Fiji Link’s average OTP in 2014 remains above 90%.
The on-time performance for both airlines is available on the Fiji Airways website: http://www.fijiairways.com/about-fiji-airways/on-time-performance/. OTP is a global airline industry benchmark which measures aircraft flight departures as being on time if they depart from the gate within 15 minutes of the airline’s scheduled departure time.
