The Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC), Josefa Serulagilagi today confirmed three new appointments at the Senior Executive Services level in Government.
Joana Koroituinakelo has been confirmed to the position of Director Corporate Services at PSC, Meli Bitu has been confirmed as Chief Administrative Officer, Financial Management Unit with the Ministry of Finance and National Planning and Ana Rokomokoti is the new Counsellor for the Fiji High Commission in India.
PSC Chairman, Mr Serulagilagi said the officers have been appointed based on their experience and qualification as well as proven leadership qualities and attributes which add value to the effective and efficient delivery of Government services.
Mrs Koroituinakelo joined the civil service in 1987 in the administration cadre. In 2011, Mrs Koroituinakelo was appointed Manager Workforce Training and Development Unit at PSC. As Director Corporate Services, she is responsible to the Deputy Secretary for the provision of appropriate advice and the efficient and effective management of all the business and relevant resources under the relevant law, policy and guidelines of Government.
Mr Bitu on the other hand holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the Central Queensland University and a graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from the Kaplan Higher Education. He brings with him a wealth of experience in both the private and government sector.
As for Ms Rokomokoti she is a lawyer by profession and has previously worked in Government as Chief Registrar. She was also operating her own law firm before being appointed to this new assignment in India.
