Following on from the release of the recommendations in the 2015 Land Transport Industry Report, the Attorney-General and Minister for Finance Hon. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has today announced the reduction in police clearance fees for the processing of Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licenses.
Under current arrangements, any intended PSV operator applying for a license with the Land Transport Authority is required to get a police clearance for which a fee of $102.20 (VIP) needs to be paid. Effective from 01 July 2015, this amount will be reduced to $20.00 (VIP).
In announcing this reduction and in line with the recommendations in the 2015 Land Transport Industry Report, the Attorney-General & Minister for Finance emphasised streamlining processes not only with the LTA but also making where available, fees affordable for ordinary Fijians.
